Director of Operations The Salt Line
A restaurant "lifer", Brian started working in restaurants at 16 in his hometown of Port Washington, NY. After college, he continued in restaurants while he was figuring 'what he really was going to do" and hasn't worked at anything else since. His real restaurant adventures started in NYC as a member of the opening service team for landmark restaurant Angelo & Maxies'. From there California called and he spent five years in LA working with the amazing James Beard award winning restaurant team of chef Suzanne Goin and partner Caroline Styne. Missing the East Coast, he ended up in DC where he had the great fortune to work closely with Jose Andres and his team for a decade overseeing Cafe Atlantico and minibar, America Eats Tavern, and Zaytinya. Through it all, his happiest restaurant memory though still is working a summer in Martha's Vineyard so he's thrilled to now be rekindling those memories and calling The Salt Line home.
